friends TOP TEN albums of all times
















When I was a child I listened every week to the Top Ten Italian charts on the radio, was really charming, I adored to dream listening to those songs . So , I’ve asked to some POPARTX ‘ friend to write their TOP TEN albums list of all times; aka the albums that they consider to be the most important in their whole lifes; here are the first lists I’ve received.( if someone wanna write his favourite TOP ten list , send it to me at longryders@gmail.com ).

Ma, a parte Marco ed io, nessun altro ha inserito dischi Punk nella propria "top ten"...la cosa mi lascia un pò dubbioso...

ehm, sulla mia top-ten: "rubber soul" è del '65, non '66, devo aver toppato la riga mentre scrivevo gli anni....

beh Francesco, io ho iniziato ad ascoltare punk che avevo 13 anni e di dischi punk che per me sono stati importanti ne avrei potuti mettere almeno 60-70 (primi su tutti, per me , il 1° dei DEAD BOYS , i 2 lps dei RADIO BIRDMAN , i singles dei BUZZCOCKS, CIRCLE JERKS, "Inflammable M.", il primo CLASH e il primo lp dei DK, o ADOLESCENTS 1°lp o i primi 2 lps degli X di L.A. e il 1°omonimo dei belgi KIDS o DAMNED 1° e FEAR The Record, per non parlare dei DEVO o del 1° degli XTC), ma al momento attuale ho gusti più "power pop", e ciò si riflette poi sulla mia classifica "attuale"..anyways STOOGES, MC5 , NEW TORK DOLLS e VELVET U. sono il PUNK e, storicamente (io queste cose le ho studiate molto bene quando ho scritto la tesi sul punk USa ) il termine PUNK fu all'inizio coniato per definire il sound delle 60s USA garage bands e , nelle fanzine USA dei primi anni '70, di bands come i FLAMIN' GROOVIES....comunque devo dire che quelle che abbiamo scritto sono tutte gran belle classifiche , damnn Fab ha messo anche CURTIS MAYFIELD, recentemente ho ascoltato "Superfly" (1972), davvero GRANDISSIMO disco...
